Abstract:
With conventional technology, consignment of re-encrypting processing is possible, but the cost of re-encryption processing is high and verification that the encryption consignee has executed the re-encryption properly is impossible. Provided is a re-encryption processing method that is a method in which a servicer (or data owner) executes encryption processing and for which processing costs for encryption are low. In addition, a method for confirming that data is correctly maintained at the external storage and a method for updating digital signatures for the data are provided. This encryption storage method combines reversible transformation known as all-or-nothing-transform (AONT) and partial encryption processing and encrypts the data as a whole. The ciphertext is divided into parts for which partial encryption has been carried out and other parts, and each of these are stored in different storage devices. Re-encryption processing is carried out using a private key and only parts processed by partial encryption.
