Abstract:
Provided is a data erasing device, comprising: a storage unit, further comprising a first storage region, and a second storage region wherein data is stored which is erased when a prescribed erasing condition is satisfied; a change unit which changes authentication information when the prescribed erasing condition is satisfied; an erasing process execution unit which, when the authentication information is changed, executes an erasing process on the data which is stored in the second storage region; and a communication processing unit which transmits via a network a notification that the data is erased after the data erasing process is executed. A program which makes the data erasing device function as the erasing process execution unit and the communication processing unit is stored in the first storage region and does not operate on an OS which the second data storage region stores.
