Abstract:
A data migration method and apparatus for a database, which are used to provide an efficient database service migration method. In the present application, a second memory stores data in the database. The second memory is a memory independent of a first device and a second device. When the first device determines that same needs to switch a database service, a redo log of the database may be migrated from a first memory of the first device to the second memory. The redo log is migrated by the second device from the second memory to a third memory in the second device, and the first device and the second device perform online migration of the operating system status. With the help of the second memory, the first device and the second device perform online migration of the database server, the database service is not interrupted, and a user will not perceive the switching of the database service, which may effectively improve the user experience.
