Abstract:
In order to reduce loop control commands and address update commands in a multi-loop, this data processing device comprises a control means, a program counter, an arithmetic unit, a loop counter group, and a loop control means, wherein the loop counter group includes a plurality of loop control register combinations each comprising a loop counter, a loop count maximum value register, and a loop variable increment register, the loop control means determines loop completion and updates the loop counter for the plurality of loop control register combinations simultaneously so as to perform loop control of the multi-loop, and the control means generates a control signal corresponding to the multi-loop by causing the plurality of loop counter values to act on a field corresponding to a command word, and outputs the result to the arithmetic unit.
