Abstract:
Disclosed are a data processing method and apparatus, which relate to the field of communications and which solve the problem of how to quickly distinguish legitimate traffic from illegitimate traffic when defending against DDoS attacks. The method comprises: by means of allocating a verifiable identifier and a key corresponding to the verifiable identifier for a terminal that accesses a service supported to run by an application server, the terminal carries the verifiable identifier and a verification code in a sent data packet such that a network device can identify a legitimate data packet and an illegitimate data packet according to the verifiable identifier and the verification code, and transfer the legitimate data packet.
