Abstract:
In the present invention, for an input signal with overlapping ringing, a ringing generation filter (12) generates a ringing approximation waveform from only the peak signal portion preceding ringing so as to decrease the ringing approximation waveform from the input signal at a subtractor (11), thereby removing the ringing. The coefficient of the filter (12) is obtained by applying an algorithm similar to polynomial division in the full-pivoting Gaussian elimination method to a polynomial using reference data which represents the peak waveform and the ringing waveform, and by using the least-squares method to minimize the squared covariance so as to tolerate the existence of noise in the data. In addition, by repeated processing for multiple instances of the same dataset, calculation precision of the coefficient is increased even under conditions in which the frequency of the ringing is high and the number of samples for one period is low. Accordingly, it is possible to accurately remove ringing for even a high-frequency signal.
