A data query method and a database agent. The method comprises: when a distributed database returns response data, a database agent acquiring the response data from a receiving buffer region and locally storing same (101); and when the size of the response data acquired from each data node in the distributed database reaches a preset value, the database agent sorting the locally stored response data and then sending same to a client (102).
