Disclosed in the present application are a data recovery drill method and apparatus for a database, a computer device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: obtaining database instance information of a backup database instance of a database, and formulating a data recovery drill plan corresponding to the backup database instance; when the time for a data recovery drill arrives, performing a recovery drill on the backup database instance on the basis of the data recovery drill plan and generating a temporary database instance when the recovery drill is complete; and determining, according to the backup database instance and the temporary database instance, whether the recovery drill of the backup database instance is successful, if the recovery drill of the backup database instance is successful, generating a data recovery drill report of the backup database instance, and pushing the data recovery drill report to a service terminal of the backup database instance. By means of the present application, the automation of a data recovery drill of a database can be implemented, the efficiency of a data recovery drill can be improved, and the implementation cost of a data recovery drill is saved.
