Abstract:
Provided are a data transmission method and apparatus. The data transmission method comprises: when target data is required to be sent to a first SIM card on a terminal which supports a plurality of subscriber identity module (SIM) cards, determining whether there is a second SIM card on the terminal; and if there is a second SIM card, sending target indication information to a base station which the second SIM card accesses. According to the present disclosure, when needing to send target data to a first SIM card, a core network can, without needing to page all base stations in a tracking area of the first SIM card, send target indication information to a base station which a second SIM card accesses, so as to send the target data to the first SIM card, thereby reducing the delay of data transmission, and improving the efficiency of data transmission.
