Abstract:
A data transmission method and apparatus. The data transmission method comprises: a terminal device receiving first information from a network device; determining a plurality of candidate resources according to the first information; determining a target resource from the plurality of candidate resources according to a first data volume of data to be sent; on the target resource, sending to the network device part or all of the data to be sent; and sending second information to the network device, wherein the second information is used for indicating the target resource. It can be seen that a target resource is determined from a plurality of candidate resources by a terminal device on the basis of the actual volume of data to be sent, and the volume of data which can be transmitted by the plurality of candidate resources can cover the volume of data which is likely to be sent by the terminal device, which facilitates an improvement in the probability of completing data transmission in the range of a plurality of candidate resources, and thus facilitates a reduction in a data transmission time delay.
