The present application relates to the field of communications, and disclosed thereby are a data transmission method for an electronic device, and a medium and electronic device thereof. The data transmission method of the present application can be applied to the field of screen projections, and specifically comprises: a first electronic device acquires a channel state of the communication with a second electronic device in a first communication mode and, when determined that the channel state does not satisfy a data transmission condition, sends a communication mode switching instruction to the second electronic device so as to instruct the second electronic device to switch from the first communication mode to a second communication mode, namely to an ultra wideband mode; and the first electronic device establishes a communication connection with the second electronic device by using the ultra wideband mode, and transmits data to the second electronic device by means of the ultra wideband mode. The data transmission method of the present application can dynamically switch a communication mode to an ultra wideband mode when the channel state does not satisfy data transmission conditions, and can achieve ultra wideband transmission on the basis of an existing wireless fidelity module or 5G module of an electronic device.
