Abstract:
An embodiment of the present application discloses a data transmission quality detection method, and a related apparatus. A first network element performs a coloring operation on multiple general packet radio service tunneling protocol-user plane (GTP-U) packets to obtain multiple colored GTP-U packets. The first network element sends the multiple colored GTP-U packets to a second network element, such that the second network element detects, on the basis of the multiple colored GTP-U packets, the quality of data transmission with the first network element with respect to the terminal device. The network quality is improved by refining the detection granularity. Without having to capture packets, the second network element can detect the data transmission quality by detecting service packets, thereby reducing the occupation of network resources.
