Abstract:
Disclosed are a database access method, a database access initiating module, a database access service engine, a computing device, and a computer program product. The method involves: if an application needs to access a database instance, the application sending an access request of the application to a database access initiating module, wherein the access request carries an identifier of the database instance; and when receiving the access request, the database access initiating module determining a database access service engine for accessing the database instance, and sending the access request to the determined database access service engine. The database access service engine is deployed in a manner of being independent of the application. The database access service engine is used for building a connection for accessing the database instance. Therefore, the database access initiating module can forward the access request to the database instance by means of the database access engine, so that the database instance can process the access request.
