[Problem] To provide a deaerator capable of preventing cross-contamination. [Solution] A deaerator 1 comprises: deaeration modules 10, 20, 30 each having a tube unit 12 that is a gas-permeable film separating a fluid circulating space S1 and a decompression space S2; a vacuum pipe 40 communicating with each decompression space S2; a discharge device 50 that discharges gas out of each decompression space S2 through the vacuum pipe 40; an atmospheric relief pipe 60 communicating with each decompression space S2; an atmospheric relief valve 70 capable of introducing the atmosphere to each decompression space S2 through the atmospheric relief pipe 60; and a controller 80 that controls the operation of the discharge device 50 and the atmospheric relief valve 70. The controller 80 performs control so that, when a deaeration process is being performed, the atmospheric relief valve 70 is closed and a process of discharging gas out of each decompression space S2 is performed by the discharge device 50, and so that, after the end of the deaeration process, the atmospheric relief valve 70 is opened to open each decompression space S2 to the atmosphere at once.
