Abstract:
Provided are a death prediction system that predicts whether an animal is likely to die in the near future by a simple method, and a death prediction method. This death prediction system is provided with: a reception means for receiving data that relates to the presence or absence of bacteria belonging to a specific family or the occupancy rate thereof in the intestinal bacterial flora of an animal; and a determination means for predicting and determining whether or not the animal dies within a preset period of time on the basis of the data inputted into the reception means, said data relating to the presence or absence of bacteria belonging to the specific family or the occupancy rate thereof in the intestinal bacterial flora of the animal.
