Abstract:
A decoding method and a decoder for a polar code. The decoding method comprises: acquiring data to be decoded; respectively starting to perform successive cancellation list (SCL) decoding and successive cancellation (SC) decoding on the data; obtaining a decoding result of the SC decoding; where it is determined that the decoding result of the SC decoding is correct, stopping the SCL decoding; and outputting the decoding result of the SC decoding. The decoding method for a polar code provided can respectively perform SCL decoding and SC decoding on data to be decoded, and where it is determined that a decoding result of the SC decoding is correct, the SC decoding result is output as a final decoding result of the data and the SCL decoding on the data is stopped. The present invention reduces a decoding delay and improves the decoding efficiency on the premise that the accurate decoding performance of decoding of a polar code is ensured.
