Abstract:
This decoding method includes: decoding, from a bit stream, cropping information that indicates a cropping amount corresponding to the padding amount of a first sub-picture which is a sub-picture among a plurality of sub-pictures constituting a picture, at least one edge of the sub-picture being included in at least one edge of the picture, at least one sub-picture being adjacent on the side opposite the at least one edge of the sub-picture, the sub-picture having been padded so that the size of the sub-picture reaches an integral multiple of a preset coding unit size in at least one direction (S1071); decoding the first sub-picture from the bit stream (S1072); and a cropping the first sub-picture in accordance with the cropping amount (S1073).
