Abstract:
A decorative material according to the invention comprises a base material, and an abrasion resistant coating layer formed on the base material and composed of spherical particles (A) of an average particle size of 3 to 50 'mu'm and binder (B) of a crosslinked resin. The abrasion resistant coating layer has a feature in that the spherical particles (A) account for 5 to 50 % by weight of a sum of (A) and (B) and have a higher hardness than that of the binder (B) with the average particle size d ('mu'm) satisfying the following formula (1): 1.3t d 3.0t, where t designates an average film thickness of the coating layer ('mu'm). In this manner, it is possible in the invention to obtain a decorative material, which is excellent in both of flexibility and abrasion resistance (scratch resistance), by strictly controlling the relationship between the average film thickness of the coating layer and the average particle size of the spherical particles.
