Abstract:
In an electrode winding device, when a defect mark is detected, a defective portion of an electrode can be separately wound and discarded as a defective electrode. The electrode winding device comprises: a pair of openable and closable chucks (33) used for winding a defective electrode; an operation driving unit (39) for opening and closing the chucks (33); a rotationally driving unit (40) for rotating the chucks (33); and a reciprocating drive means (41) for reciprocating the chucks (33) between a standby position and an operating position. The electrode winding device operates as follows: when a defective electrode is discarded, the chucks (33) is moved by the reciprocating drive means (41) from the standby position to the operating position; at the operating position, the chucks (33) are closed by the operation driving unit (39) to hold the defective electrode therebetween; the chucks (33) are rotated by the rotationally driving unit (40) to wind the defective electrode around the outer circumference of the chucks (33); and then the wound defective electrode is discarded from the chucks (33).
