Abstract:
The barrel (331) of a funnel−shaped horizontal coil bobbin (33) is peripherally formed with a plurality of ribs (332, 333, 334) in an inner−surface neck−side region, a panel−side region, and a region intermediate between the neck side and the panel side. In applying a winding to the horizontal coil bobbin (33), the winding is locked at the position of the rib (333) by so selecting the rib that the winding assumes a horizontally deflected wound position. The magnetic field of the position where the rib (333) is installed becomes a pin magnetic field, and the position of the magnetic field approaches the main lens of an electron gun. The spot shape of the electron beam is improved to improve the horizontal resolution of the peripheral portion of the image. The rib is formed such that it inclines to the surface on which the winding is locked. Since the winding is stabilized in the correct position, the characteristics are also stabilized.
