Abstract:
Provided are a deflector roll, with which a metal strip can be passed through without significant meandering and a steel sheet can be manufactured efficiently, and a method for manufacturing a steel sheet through use of said deflector roll. The deflector roll for changing the sheet passing direction of the metal strip during passage comprises a roll body that is rotatably supported by a roll stand, and a slide member that is provided on the outer surface of the roll body, said slide member being configured so as to be movable along the axial direction of the roll body while the metal strip is wrapped thereupon and the wrapped state of the metal strip is maintained.
