Abstract:
The present invention relates to a liquid/solid biphasic defoamer composition for reducing hydrocarbon foam and silicone carryover, comprising liquid polydimethylsiloxane and solid silica, and the biphasic defoamer composition of the present invention reduces the amount of foam generated during a pyrolysis reaction in a delayed cocker and, simultaneously, reduces silicone carryover to a post process, thereby enabling the inhibition of catalyst deactivation in a post process.
