Abstract:
A defoaming composition having acrylate polymers as the main active substances. The defoaming composition has excellent defoaming and foam suppression properties and good compatibility in a foaming system. The defoaming composition is synthesized by a solution polymerization method, and the specific preparation method comprises: 1) preparing a polymer X by means of a methyl/alkyl acrylate (1-8 alkyls) monomer A and/or a methyl/hydroxyalkyl acrylate B, an organic solvent S, and an initiator I according to a solution polymerization method known in the industry; 2) preparing a polymer Y by means of a methyl/alkyl acrylate (9-18 alkyls) monomer D and/or an olefin monomer O, the organic solvent S, and the initiator I according to the solution polymerization method known in the industry; 3) preparing a polymer Z by means of all monomers used for the polymer X and polymer Y, a crosslinking agent monomer C, a hydrophobic particle K, the organic solvent S, and the initiator I according to the solution polymerization method known in the industry; and 4) uniformly mixing the polymers X, Y and Z by means of a shearing device to obtain the defoaming composition. The polymer X has a low glass transition temperature and a low molecular weight, and mainly achieves rapid spreading and rapid dispersing functions; the polymer Y has an appropriate molecular weight and mainly achieves a foam suppression function; on the one hand, the polymer Z acts as a solvent to fully mix the polymer X and the polymer Y because the polymer Z comprises both the structures of the polymer X and the polymer Y, and on the other hand, the polymer Z also has a foam suppression function due to the macromolecular network structure thereof.
