Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a dental bulk block for cutting machining, which is a glass ceramic block including crystalline phases in an amorphous glass matrix, wherein the crystalline phases include a main crystalline phase being lithium disilicate and minor crystalline phases being composed of lithium phosphate and at least one selected from cristobalite and tridymite, and wherein the block is a functionally graded material which has a gradient of crystal sizes in the main crystalline phase with respect to the depth and has no interface at a change point of the gradient value of crystal sizes in the main crystalline phase. The dental bulk block is useful for manufacturing an artificial dental prosthesis similar to a natural tooth, and enables a reduction in the time and process for manufacturing an artificial dental prosthesis as well as an improvement in structural stability in an aspect of force distribution due to functionally graded mechanical properties.
