Abstract:
Disclosed is a dental floss holder capable of tension adjustment such that the tension of dental floss, which may be loosened or weakened during use, can be adjusted and capable of preventing the tension of the floss from dropping during use by means of a protrusion installed on a tension adjusting portion. The present invention provides a dental floss holder capable of adjusting tension, comprising: a body having a head on the front end thereof such that a part of dental floss, which directly removes alien substances from teeth, is fastened to the head, a winding hole being formed through the middle part of the body, and an elastically deformable locking pole being formed in the periphery of the winding hole; and a winding wheel installed such that the same can be inserted into the winding hole of the body and rotated therein, a part of the locking pole being fastened and fixed to the winding wheel, and a part of the dental floss being fastened to the winding wheel and rotating together, thereby pulling the dental floss such that a predetermined tension is maintained, wherein the locking pole is formed in a cantilever shape such that the same can elastically deform about an end thereof; the locking pole has a locking protrusion formed to protrude from the front end thereof in the longitudinal direction thereof; and locking recesses are formed concavely at a predetermined interval on a cylindrical insertion portion of the winding wheel along a trajectory of contact with the locking protrusion when the winding wheel rotates, such that the locking protrusion is inserted into the locking recesses, thereby holding the winding wheel.
