Abstract:
This dental treatment apparatus 1 includes: a handset 2 that has a hollow tip portion 21 which ejects sterile water; a tank 3 that stores the sterile water; a pump 6; a first flow path 4 through which the sterile water that is delivered to the handset 2 from the tank 3 via a pump 6 flows; a second flow path 5 through which the sterile water bypasses the pump 3 and flows when returning to the tank 3 from the handset 2; a valve 7 that is positioned along the second flow path 5; and a control unit 8. At least a portion of the first flow path 4 between the pump 6 and the handset 2 is formed from an elastic member that elastically deforms in response to the difference in pressure of the sterile water between when the pump 6 is operating and when the pump 6 is not operating. The control unit 8 keeps the valve 7 in a closed state during the operation period of the pump 6 and opens the valve 7 when the operation period of the pump 6 ends.
