Abstract:
A deodorizer characterized by comprising a porous material and, added and fixed thereto, an agent obtained by causing an organic acid having one or more asymmetric carbon atoms to act on a carbonate containing an alkaline earth metal or alkali metal; and a deodorizer which is an adsorbent for aldehydes and is obtained by adding and adhering an organic acid having an amino group and an aromatic ring in the same molecule and/or a salt thereof to a porous support, characterized in that the organic acid has at least one alkane carbon atom between the amino group and the aromatic ring or between the acid functional group and the aromatic ring or in each of these positions.
