A detection device for an extreme speed test of an automobile, comprising a ranging speed sensor (1), a protective cover (2) and a top plate (3), wherein a mounting plate (4) is fixedly connected to the bottom of the ranging speed sensor (1), a movable groove (5) is provided inside the top plate (3), a movable rod (6) is fixedly connected between both sides of an inner wall of the movable groove (5), and a sliding block (7) is slidably connected to a surface of the movable rod (6). In the detection device for the extreme speed test of the automobile, the mounting plate (4) is fixedly connected to the bottom of the ranging speed sensor (1), so that the ranging speed sensor (1) can be prevented from being damaged due to an external impact. In addition, mounting of the ranging speed sensor (1) is relatively simple, can be completed without the aid of a tool, and is easy to operate. A vertical plate (14) is fixedly connected to the bottom of a top plate (3), so that the height of the ranging speed sensor (1) can be adjusted according to different heights of measured vehicles and different environments where the ranging speed sensor (1) is placed, thereby improving the detection precision.
