Abstract:
Provided are a detection method and detection apparatus for a parking space status, and an electronic device. The detection apparatus comprises: a parking space motion detection unit for detecting whether there is a moving object in a parking space according to a monitoring image of the parking space; a blocking motion detection unit for, when there is no moving object in the parking space, detecting whether there is a moving object in a blocking detection area, wherein the blocking detection area is adjacent to the parking space; a first blocking detection unit for, when there is no moving object in the blocking detection area, detecting whether there is, in the blocking detection area, a blocking object blocking the parking space depending on whether an image of a predetermined area in the monitoring image matches a reference image; and a parking space status determination unit for determining a status of the parking space according to a detection result from the first blocking detection unit. According to the embodiments, it is possible to improve the accuracy with which a status of a parking space is detected.
