This detection system comprises a first acquisition unit that acquires a number of registered products on the basis of notification information issued due to a product registration by a customer, a second acquisition unit that acquires a scheduled number of products to be registered by the customer, a detection unit that detects a discrepancy between the registered number of products and the scheduled number of products to be registered, and an output unit that outputs a detection result.
