Abstract:
Provided are: a detector which is capable of reducing the capacity of a capacitive element used for operating an isolator; the isolator; a warning system; and a control method. The detector (20) is provided with a short-circuit detection circuit (222), a relay (221), and a control unit (24). The relay (221) is inserted onto a wire (31 or 32). The control unit (24) operates via charges stored in a capacitive element. The control unit (24) repeatedly performs a normal operation for detecting whether a specific event occurs, and opens a contact point unit (2211) of the relay (221) at the time when the occurrence of a short-circuit is detected by the short-circuit detection circuit (222). When a short-circuit occurs between the wires (31, 32), the relay (221) operates by consuming the charges stored in the capacitive element. When the occurrence of the short-circuit is detected by the short-circuit detection circuit (222), the control unit (24) opens the contact point unit (2211) of the relay (221) before an initial normal operation and after the detection of the occurrence of the short-circuit.
