Abstract:
Provided are a device, a battery system, and a method for controlling a main battery and a sub battery. The device includes: a first main switch which can be connected between the main battery and a load; a second main switch which can be connected between the sub battery and the load; a sub switch which can be connected between the main battery and the sub battery; a main battery management system; and a sub battery management system. When a failure of the main battery is detected, the main battery management system transmits a first diagnosis message to the sub battery management system. In response to the first diagnosis message, the sub battery management system induces the second main switch to a turn-on state.
