Abstract:
The present invention provides an air aspiration prevention device comprising: a catheter (10) including an insertion tube (11) to be inserted in a subject in which the catheter is to be inserted, and a hub body (12) having a plurality of connectors (13); and an air aspiration prevention module (100) provided in the insertion tube (11) of the catheter (10), wherein the air aspiration prevention module (100) includes: a body (110) having a first insertion hole (111) in which the insertion tube (11) is inserted so as to pass therethrough; a syringe connector (112) communicating with the first insertion hole (111); and an extension part (120) which is connected to the body (110) so as to communicate with the first insertion hole (111) of the body (110), and which has a second insertion hole (121) in which the insertion tube (11) is inserted so as to pass therethrough, and the extension part (120) has an adjustable length from the body (110), and thus air aspiration, when the catheter (10) is removed from the subject in which the catheter is to be inserted, into the body of the subject in which the catheter is to be inserted can be prevented.
