Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a device for continuously producing chemically-modified cellulose obtained by reacting a finely-powdered cellulose fiber material and a hydrophobic chemical substance; and a method used in said device. This device constitutes a part of an apparatus for continuously producing, from a finely-powdered cellulose fiber raw material, a cellulose nanofiber composite separator used for lithium-ion batteries, thereby contributing to efficient production of a cellulose nanofiber composite separator used for lithium-ion batteries. More specifically, the present invention pertains to: a device for continuously producing a chemically-modified cellulose, said device having a first mechanism for transporting a finely-powdered cellulose fiber raw material and a hydrophobic chemical substance, a specific extruder, a solvent tank connected to the extruder, and a drying device connected to the solvent tank; and a method for continuously producing a chemically-modified cellulose, comprising a step for removing the hydrophobic chemical substance that has not reacted by washing the chemically-modified cellulose produced from a finely-powdered cellulose fiber raw material and a hydrophobic chemical substance using the extruder in the solvent tank, and then drying same in the drying device.
