Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a device that is for controlling an engine for industrial machinery and that is capable of maintaining a target rotational frequency at an appropriate rotational frequency corresponding to a task without using an additional switch or the like. [Solution] The device for controlling an engine for industrial machinery, said device controlling an engine that drives a hydraulic pump for supplying hydraulic pressure to a hydraulic device that operates by means of hydraulic pressure, is provided with: a control input detection means that detects a control input of a means that adjusts the engine rotational frequency; a target rotational frequency setting means that sets a target rotational frequency that is in accordance with the control input; and a rotational frequency control means that controls the engine in a manner so that the engine rotational frequency becomes the target rotational frequency. The target rotational frequency setting means locks the target rotational frequency at a predetermined value when the control input is within a pre-set range.
