Description:
DEVICE FOR FIXING DOOR HANDLES The subject of the invention is a device designed for fixing antabes, particularly for two-side fixing on the door.

The antabe's joining element possesses mandrel, of which one side is ended with a left-hand screw and the other has got a right-hand screw. Shims are fixed on the mandrel.

Antabes'fronts have an internal left-and right-hand thread alternately. Their fixing on doors takes place by mandrel's screwing into antabes'fronts.

Other known solution present in the description of the Polish utility model No. Ru 54904 consists of mandrel of which one side has got a circumferential groove, and the second side has got parallel millings ended with a screw. On the milled part of the mandrel, there is a shim with a port having the shape of a milled part of the mandrel fixed slidably. Antabes' fronts have got alternately shaped recesses with a passage in one axle, and a port with a passage threaded on the slit of axles of an antabe's front. A shim is fixed on the milled part of the mandrel and has got on its circumference a blind hole. The second shim has got a port of the size of a mandrel.

A device for fixing antabes, particularly entrance door, having joining elements fixed in the antabe's top and bottom part according to this invention is characterised by the fact that a sleeve and one part of a mandrel slidable with a flange, and with the cavity for a screw is fixed inside of the top and bottom ending part of an antabe. Resilient elements are fixed on this mandrel. Resilient elements lean against the flange of the slidable mandrel on the one side and against the sleeve placed in the ending part of an antabe on the other side. The ring with a screw leaning against an antabe's front is fixed on the part of a slidable mandrel protruding out of an antabe.

On the second ending of the slidable mandrel, on the opposite part to the flange of this mandrel, there are at least three holes. There is a peg placed in one of them. Sleeve with a hole with two different diameters having two milled channels opposite to each other within the hole of the smaller diameter as well as with two cavities made by this hole is placed inside the top and bottom part of the second antabe. The significant part of the invention is a well matched resilient element that may be represented by the combination of disk springs, a spiral spring, or other material having resilient properties such as rubber and other similar.

According to the invention, the device is characterised by manufacture simplicity and a fast and reliable way of fixing the antabe. It ensures a secure and durable fixing of antabes without the occurrence of clearance for the long-lasting period of their exploitation.

An additional advantage of the device is the possibility of it being employed in one- sided grips of various use.

The subject of the invention is presented in the manufacture example on the picture where fig. 1 is in section the ending part of a sleeve according to the invention, fig. 2 illustrates in section the ending part of the second antabe and other elements of the device according to the device, and fig. 3 represents a section of the ending part of the first antabe.

A sleeve 3 with a hole having two different diameters 14 and two milled channels 13 and two cavities 12 are fixed permanently in the antabe 1.

The slidable mandrel 6 with the flange 15 is placed in the antabe 2. A resilient element 7 leaning against the antabe's front 4 that is fixed permanently in the antabe 2, is fixed on the slidable mandrel 6 with the flange 15 specified above. Three holes 10 are made in the slidable mandrel 6. The aim of the three holes: depending on the thickness, elements which antabes of peg 9 are fixed to, are to be placed in one the three holes specified above.

Apart from that, the cavity 11 is made in the appropriate place of the mandrel 6, so that having tightened the resilient element 7, the screw's ending 8 being in the ring 5 could be put into the cavity 11. Making use of the invention is specified below.

Having tightened the resilient element 7 and immobilising it by putting the screw 8 into the cavity 11, first we put mandrel 6 with peg 9 into the hole of the element which we fix the antabe to, and then into hole 14 and milled channels 13 into the sleeve 3, until the moment of going through the hole 14 with the smaller diameter. Next, we rotate the ring 5 together with the mandrel 6 in the sleeve 3 by 90° until the moment of placing the peg 9 in the cavities 12 and we unscrew the screw 8 in order to withdraw it out of the cavity 11, which causes a release of the resilient element 7, and thus antabes 1 and 2 are strongly pulled tight with the same force.
