Title:
DEVICE FOR DETECTING END BREAKAGE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1988/004644
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A device for detecting end breakage of yarns that are closely arranged in a large number in the spinning and weaving machines such as loom, knitting machine, warping machine, etc. The device has sensing electrodes arranged to correspond to each of the yarns that are arranged, high-input-resistance amplifiers, separating plates, and logic circuits, wherein the individual yarns are permitted to run among the separating plates. If a yarn ceases to run due to breakage, a corresponding high-input-resistance amplifier produces an output of a high potential and a signal is sent to the output of the logic circuit. The machine bed is then stopped in response to the output signal and, at the same time, an alarm is produced.
