Abstract:
A device for a door or window handle, and a method of constructing the same, where the handle comprises a base piece (19) with a turn hole (22) for a handle grip and for fixed attachment to a door or window, and a handle grip (25) provided for rotation in the base piece (19). The handle grip (25) is rotatably secured to the base piece (19) by means of a connection piece (23; 24) disposed in said turn hole (22). The connection piece (23; 24) has a first, second and third section, where the first section is shaped as a flange (23''''; 24'''') that bears against the back side of the base piece. The second section forms rotary connection with the walls of the turn hole. The third section projects out from the front side of the base piece and is designed for non-releasable engagement with a recess (25') in one end of the handle grip. The connection piece is provided with one longitudinal, through-going hole (23'; 24'). Said recess in the one end of the handle grip may be annular and surround a stud (25'') in said end of the handle grip provided with an upsetting hole (25''') for upsetting of the walls thereof against an offset (23''; 24'') along the hole (23'; 24') through the connection piece. The third section is adapted to be surrounded over a portion of its length by at least one spacer (26; 27; 33).
