Description:
The device of the fireplace or chimney insert for water heating with self-regulating water temperature

Field of technology

This invention relates to the design of a boiler, device for the fireplace or chimney inserts for unconventional domestic heating , of hot water with a self-regulating water temperature. The invention generally falls under heat engineering.

The prior art

The prior art discloses various design hot air and hot water inserts for fireplaces and chimneys. Flue gas temperature for the most of industrially produced fireplaces is from 250° to 350° C. Thermal potential is idle and mostly leads away into the chimney. It is a quite interesting thermal potential, which could be reused before leading away.

In the prior art is known a solution of heat accumulation type heat exchanger, which was designed to occupy as less space as possible and to fit into the space below the flue tiles. It is "S"-shaped designed, which was not previously used. It is lined by fireclay plates, which form a square cross-section for the flue transition from outlet of the stove down through called slope and then back up to the outlet of the chimney. These plates are walled with bricks. A hot air is a gain.

There are also known solutions where traditional fireplace inserts are provided with stainless steel superstructure of hot water heat exchanger. However, this solution does not allow regulating water temperature, which is quite a big problem. Most of the superstructures are tubes wrapped around the chimney lining. For passing all expectations, heat exchanger have to fulfil several conditions. The most relevant is the ability to reduce tarring, with the uppermost efficiency of the heat transfer to the water. At the same time the design can not cool down outgoing flue to the point that it tars a chimney. For simple exchangers operating on the principle of heating directly through the wall, that means, on the one side of the wall of the exchanger is cold water and on the other side the hot flue, is impossible to fulfil these two basic conditions. They can only fulfil them in a limited extent and with other additional measures. The above mentioned facts pointed out that it is necessary to design the fireplace or chimney inserts which would produce hot water with the self-regulating thermal system. Result of this effort is a device for the fireplace or chimney inserts for water heating with self-regulating water temperature, made by technical means further described in this document.

Summary of the invention

Mentioned shortcomings of the prior art are eliminated by the invention of the device of fireplace and chimney insert for water heating, with self-regulating water temperature. The invention consists of the heat pipe partly filled with working liquid medium, in which the evaporation part is separated from the condensation part by a perforated partition. Perforated partition is ring-shaped and contains a series of evaporative system of holes and condensation holes and openings. Water tank with cold water influx and outflow of supply hot water follows the outer shell of the condensation part of the heat pipe. The inner shell of the condensation part of the heat pipe is provided with thermal insulation. The evaporating section of the heat pipe is followed by the input terminal of chimney. The inner wall of thermal insulation is followed by output of chimney terminal. The evaporating section of the heat pipe is provided with technological inputs, which are used for application of working liquid medium into the heat pipe. The technological input is also used for changing an air pressure in the heat pipe by using an air pump. The device works with the transmission of heat through a substance, which changes from liquid to steam in a sealed tube of the heat pipe on principle of water heating, using thermo siphon effect. The heat transfer to water stops, when the heat pipe evaporates the entire working liquid medium. Working liquid medium can be water or liquid hydrocarbons such as ethanol and other. The maximum heating temperature is set by vacuum in a sealed heat pipe in the range from 0.0143 to 0.1 MPa and the quantity and type of filling working liquid medium.

Benefits of the device of the fireplace or chimney inserts for water heating with self- regulating water temperature according to the invention are apparent from external effects. Positive effects mainly consist of the fact that the circulation of fluid is provided without circulation pump, through thermo siphon effect. When a certain temperature (which is determined by thermal transition of the filling in the heat pipe from the liquid state to the steam) is reached, the thermo siphon circulation stops. This will also stop the transfer of heat into the water tank. Self-regulating, in the fact, is that there is no overheating of water based on the amount, the type of filling and steam pressure. The water is warming up to a constant temperature without depending on the flue outlet temperature. Benefit of using the heat pipe in the device is its low weight, fast thermal effect and low maintenance costs of the heat pipe. The device is durable and its activity does not pollute the environment. The device can be applied to the fireplace and stove inserts, stoves with chimney linings or other heat sources of hot air such as diesel engines and similar.

Examples

Example 1

In this example is described arrangement of fireplace insert with device for heating water with the self-regulating water temperature according to the invention, which is displayed in FIG.l in basic form. The device shown in FIG.2 consists of a heat pipe 1 partially filled with working liquid medium, in this case water and with running vapour pressure of water in the heat pipe of 0.0157 MPa. The evaporation part 2 is separated from the condensation part 3 with perforated partition 4. Perforated partition 4 is ring-shaped and contains a series of evaporative system of holes 12 and condensation openings 13, as shown in the FIG.4. Heat pipe 1 consists of two concentric pipes. Interspaces between these two pipes are hermetically sealed on both endings by two rings or the endings of concentric pipes are welded on both sides. Outer shell of condensation part 3 of the heat pipe 1 is followed by water tank 5 with influx 6 of cold water and outflow 7 of hot water. With such vapour pressure in the heat pipe 1 hot water temperature at the outlet of the tank 5 does not exceed 55 ° C. The inner shell of the condensation part 3 of the heat pipe 1 is provided with thermal insulation 8, for example rock wool. The evaporating part 2 of the heat pipe 1 is followed by input terminal 9 of a flue. The inner wall insulation 8 is followed by output terminal 10 of the flue. The evaporation part 2 of the heat pipe 1 is provided with a technological input 11 as shown in FIG.3.
