Abstract:

A device for generating hydraulic pressure for unclamping a clamp mechanism for clamping a tool holder on the main spindle of a machine tool, which has increased accuracy of stopping of a cam member of a cam mechanism for driving the hydraulic pressure generation device, which can be rotated at high speed, and which can be driven by a small-sized electric motor having no brake mechanism or servo mechanism. The unclamping hydraulic pressure generation device (30) has a plunger pump (50), a cam mechanism (60) including a driven roller (61) on the plunger member (51) side of the plunger pump and also including a cam member (63) having an outer peripheral cam surface (64) in contact with the driven roller (61), an electric motor (90) having a reduction gear and rotationally driving the cam member (63), a first recess (65) formed in that part of the outer peripheral cam surface (64) of the cam member (63) which engages with the driven roller (61) when the plunger member (51) reaches the top dead center, and a second recess (66) formed in that part of the outer peripheral cam surface (64) which engages with the driven roller (61) when the plunger member (51) reaches the bottom dead center.
