Abstract:
The invention relates to a device in particular for lumbar extension having a carrier frame (22) fitted with a couch (21) whereby said couch can be slid along the carrier frame. Means (11, 19) are provided on the said couch (21) for securing the trunk and the legs of the user (26). The couch (21) can be moved along a horizontally inclined guide. Power transmission means are provided (2, 4, 6) in order to effect lumbar extension by movement of the couch (21). In the course of such a movement, the couch (21) is moved upwards on an inclined surface of the carrier frame (22) against the force of gravity and in so doing a resistive force is generated. The device is simple in design and can be produced in an economically feasible manner being particularly suitable for use in the home.
