Description:

DEVICE FOR MANUALLY CUTTING BREAD-BRIOCHE SLICES AND SIMILAR.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention refers to the field concerning the bread and pastry making and in particular it refers to a device to facilitate the manual cut of bread-brioche slices, cakes to be filled and similar pieces to be sliced at horizontal planes.

BACKGROUND ART

The bread-brioche slices are commonly manually cut. For obtaining horizontal slices of uniform thickness a lot of ability is needed, moreover the operation involves a certain risk.

There are known machines fit to slice the bread-brioche, but they are not convenient for the small shops, where daily only 10-15 pieces are worked.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

An object of the present invention is to propose a device for the uniform fast and sure manual cut of the bread-brioche, cakes to be filled and similar also by person not particularly expert.

The described device consists of a container horizontally fissured, subdivided into two sliding parts fit to block the bread-brioche. Such sliding parts consist of batteries of shaped laminas, spaced by thicknesses spacers alternatively corresponding to that of the knife blade and to that of the slices. The edges of the slits for the cutter are bevelled, in order to facilitate the blade introduction.

The container will be opened for introducing the bread-brioche to be cut, or for taking that is cut. Once the piece to be cut is inserted, the two parts of the fissured container are

drawn near and locked by two lateral bolts rising for the impact of their inclined ends against the hooking pins, onto which then they descend due to the gravity, or due to the effect of optional retention springs. Squared plaques, applied on the base, act as ledges to centre the two sliding parts of the fissured container, when they are drawn near.

Once locked the bread-brioche, the knife blade is introduced into the suitable horizontal slits and the cut is made. In order to preserve the knife blade, at the terminal end of the fissures, wooden or other tender material end-stroke are provided.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The characteristics of the invention are in the following evidenced with particular reference to the enclosed drawings in which: figure 1 shows a top view of the device to facilitate the manual cut of bread- brioche slices and similar, object of the present invention, in a closed condition, containing a piece to be cut and associated to a cutter for the piece cutting; figure 2 shows a top view of the device of figure 1 in an open condition and containing the piece; figure 3 shows a side view of the device of figure 1; - figure 4 shows a side view from a plane orthogonal to which of figure 3 of the device of figure 1.

BEST MODE OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

With reference to figures from 1 to 4, numeral 1 indicates the device to facilitate the manual cut of bread-brioche slices, cakes and similar pieces P to be sliced in discoidal slices, object of the present invention.

The device 1 includes a base 17, for example consisting of a rectangular plate of metal, wooden or synthetic materials, to which upper face are sideway fixed two lateral guides 14, for example made of cylindrical or prismatic rods, and centrally fixed supporting means 16 consisting, for example, in a kind of tray for the base of the piece to be cut P.

The device includes two guide means 2, opposed with respect to the supporting means 16, and each of which is provided with respective supporting means 5 each comprising two sliding means 13 fixed below and sideways to the corresponding guide means 2 and each sliding along one of the two lateral guides 14 in order to allow the reciprocal approaching and removing of the two guide means 2. Each sliding means 13 has a sliding through hole for the respective side guide 14 and it can be made of metal or synthetic material with an optional anti- friction bushing in which is obtained said through hole.

Each guide means 2 is equipped with a respective plurality of first guide plane 3 parallel and equidistant where each first guide plane 3 of one of the guide means 2 is coplanar to a corresponding first guide plane 3 of the other guide means 2. Each of the guide means 2 is furthermore equipped with a respective plurality of second guide planes 4, alternated and parallel to the corresponding first guide plane 3. Each second guide plane 4 is fixed to a prearranged and constant distance from the corresponding first guide plane 3 to carry out an interspace 10 of a slightly wide thickness to the maximum thickness of the blade L for guiding it into the cut. Each guide means 2 has therefore the aspect of a fissured container portion.

In an operative condition the guide planes 3, 4, and therefore the interspaces for the blade L, are almost horizontal.

The first guide planes 3 and the second 4 consist of laminas, plates or panels and have the same plan form or the same shape.

The edges plan form of the guide planes 3, 4 of each guide means 2 reproduces the form of a respective portion of the bread-brioche and similar pieces to be cut where in a condition of maximum reciprocal approaching of the two guide means 2 such guide planes 3, 4 carry out a seat almost perfectly to the bread-brioche and similar pieces to be cut. In this way it is possible to cut with precision also soft and/or very fragile pieces without breaking or without damaging the slices and the piece.

In said operative condition the bread-brioche or the similar is placed on supporting means 16 between the two guide means 2 which are drawn near to form the seat and the blade is inserted into two coplanar interspaces 10 of the two guide means 2 to cut such bread-brioche or the similar. The blade, for each cut execution, it is driven by the first 3 and second 4 guide planes of the two guide means 2 that delimit corresponding coplanar interspaces.

The blade manually operated to carry out each cut is maintained, during the cutting, approximately parallel to the lateral guides 14 and perpendicular to the transverse development of the first guide planes 3 and second 4 of the two guide means 2.

The guide planes 3, 4 are fixed to the two sliding side means 13 of the supporting means 5 of the respective guide means 2 by studs 6.

Such studs are inserted into holes of respective thicknesses means 7, consisting in laminations or in washers, interposed between the first guide plane 3 and the second guide planes 4 which delimit an interspace 10 to prearrange the thickness of such interspace 10.

The studs are inserted also into holes of respective spacer means 8, also consisting of laminations, washers or similar, interposed between the first guide plane 3 and the second guide planes 4 that delimit two adjacent interspaces 10. All the spacer means 8 have the same thickness to obtain same thickness slices.

The thickness of the spacer means 8 is equal to the difference between the thickness desired of the slices and the total thickness of a thickness mean 7, of a first guide plane 3 and a second guide plane 4.

The edges of the guide planes 3, 4 which delimit each interspace 10 and opposite to the seat for the piece to be cut, have respective bevels 11, converging toward such interspace 10 to facilitate the blade introduction.

The sliding means 13 of the same side of the guide means 2 are movable along the same lateral guide 14.

The device includes one or more stops 18 centrally fixed at the base 17 and fit to block the two guide means 2 at their condition of minimum reciprocal distance symmetrically with respect to the supporting means 16.

The two guide means 2 have locking means 15 for the reciprocal removable blocking at maximum reciprocal approaching condition. Each locking means 15 includes a hook pivoted to a side of a guide means and a respective hooking pin fixed to the same side of the other guide means.

The two guide means 2 have, at the same side, respective stop means 20 for the blade, made of soft material, for example wooden or in plastic material.

The operation of the device 1 provides to remove the guide means 2, to put the piece to be cut onto the supporting means 16, to reciprocally approach and block the guide means 2 with the blocking means 15 and provides to insert the blade into the interspaces to carry out the slices that are recovered by unlocking and removing the guide means 2.

An advantage of the present invention is to supply a device for the uniform manual, fast and sure cut of bread-brioche, cakes to be filled and similar also by person not particularly expert.
