Abstract:
In the present invention, a preliminary tow spreading unit (1), a tow spreading unit (2), and an expanding/shaping unit (3) are connected so as to form a continuous space for continuously forwarding a fiber tow (10). The spread long fiber tow in which a spread fiber tow is associated with a granular additive is obtained by: bringing the fiber tow (10) and the granular additive into contact inside a nozzle (32) of the tow spreading unit (2); spreading the fiber tow in tow spreading zones (Z1, Z2); and expanding and shaping the fiber tow in the expanding/shaping unit (3).
