Abstract:
Provided are a strip-member attaching device and method capable of reliably and firmly attaching a strip member, such as a sound absorbing material, to a tire inner surface. A holding body (2) that holds a strip member (B) being wound and a paddle (3) are disposed inside a tire (T); and a bonding operation, in which a predetermined length of a let-out section (Ba) let out from the wound strip member (B) toward an inner surface (Ta) is pressure-bonded to the inner surface (Ta) by moving the paddle (3) close to the inner surface (Ta) and pressing the paddle (3) against the inner surface (Ta) in a state in which rotation of the tire (T) in the tire circumferential direction is stopped, and a letting-out operation, in which, after the bonding operation, the paddle (3) is moved away from the inner surface (Ta), the tire (T) is rotated in the tire circumferential direction, and the predetermined length of a new let-out section (Ba) let out from the wound strip member (B) toward the inner surface (Ta) is formed, are repeatedly performed, thereby pressure-bonding, to the inner surface (Ta), the predetermined length of let-out sections (Ba) that are sequentially let out.
