Abstract:
The invention concerns a measuring metal plate (5), with dimension adapted to be positioned between the upper roll assembly and the lower roll assembly of a flattener, comprising positioning means (60, 61, 62) for being positioned relative to the roll in the flattening direction, and strain gauges (51) for measuring elastic deformations of the plate when the flattener is being clamped, said strain gauges being fixed on the plate so as to form several transverse rows (51 to 56) of gauges located each perpendicular to one of said roll, on the surface of the plane opposite said roll.
