Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device and method for the detection of material using surface-enhanced raman scattering, the detection method according to the present invention detecting analytes in a sample by bringing a sample that could contain analytes in contact with raman active particles and irradiating same with excitation light, the raman active particles each comprising: a spherical plasmonic metal core; a plasmonic metal shell having an uneven surface; a self-assembled monolayer which is located between the core and the shell, is connected to both the core and the shell and comprises a raman reporter; and a first receptor which is located on the surface of the plasmonic metal shell and can specifically bind to the analyte.
