Title:
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE REDUNDANT PROVISION OF A WORKING GAS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/078589
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) for the redundant provision of a working gas at a gas outlet (3) having a main connection (5) and an alternate connection (7), which are connected to the gas outlet (3), wherein the connection occurs via a common line (9), at least sectionally. Between the main connection (5) and the common line (9), a non-return valve (15) is arranged. The connections are designed to be connected to a main source (19) or to a backup source (21), which provide the same working gas. The device (1) has an adjustable valve, a pressure sensor, and a control unit, preferably designed as one unit in form of a pressure reducer (25), wherein the adjustable valve is arranged between the alternate connection (7) and the common line (9) and is adjusted by the control unit such that the amount of working gas flowing through the alternate connection (7) into the common line (9) is always such that the pressure sensor in the common line (9) does not measure a pressure that is lower than a predetermined working pressure. The invention further relates to a fresh gas mixer, to a system for providing a fresh gas, to a method for the redundant provision of a working gas, and to a method for providing a fresh gas.
