Abstract:
According to the present invention, a device for sensing swelling of a battery module comprises: a swelling sensing panel having an edge in contact with the inner surface of a battery module housing; a slant part protruding from the inner surface of the battery module housing and having a slanted surface extending from a first position adjacent to the edge of the swelling sensing panel to a second position while forming a predetermined angle with the inner surface; a contact sensing sensor unit installed on the inner surface of the battery module housing immediately adjacent to an end portion of the slanted surface corresponding to the second position; and a control unit configured to receive a swelling sensing signal from the contact sensing sensor unit and output an alarm message through an alarm unit when the edge of the swelling sensing panel contacts the contact sensing sensor unit.
