Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device and method for toolpath generation. The device for toolpath generation calculates a tool image and a processed material image captured from a tool image and/or a processed material image, determines the tool shape and the processed material shape by recognizing the calculated tool image and the processed material image, respectively, determines a tool state and a processed material state by comparing the determined tool shape and the determined processed material shape to an initial tool shape and an initial processed material shape, respectively, generates an optimal toolpath for processing the processed material based on the determined tool state and the determined processed material state, and displays the generated toolpath. According to the present invention, a shortage of processed material that is fed can be prevented, and thus the finished degree of the processed material can be increased and operating efficiency can be improved for an operator.
