Abstract:

A method of transmitting and receiving data by a source device according to an embodiment of the present invention include: a step of transmitting a request for reading Extended Display Identification data (EDID) to a sink device; a step of receiving the EDID information from the sink device; and a step of determining a video timing block based on the EDID information, wherein the EDID information may include a Display Identification Data (Display ID) structure that includes a Base EDID block having normal resolution information, at least one video timing block having high resolution information, and priority information on the at least one video timing block.
